New York Times publishes ‘The Most Important Things That Are Ever Written’

New York, NY — September 20, 2018 — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has announced that the latest edition of the Most Important Books in America is now available to the public for free online.

The book, entitled “The Most Interesting Things That Have Happened to the People Who Built America,” is available to download on the Department of Public Works (DPW) website.

The new edition is available for purchase in both print and digital formats at

“We’re thrilled to have this book for the public,” said DPW Commissioner Dan Kavanagh.

“It’s one of the most important books in our collection and a great resource for anyone interested in the history of our great country.”

The new edition, which includes a new index and index design, is available at a discount from the DPW’s website.DPW Commissioner Kavanah also announced that it will now be possible for people to download their own copy of the book, for $9.95, from the department’s website and at the public library.DPM officials say they hope the public will use this book as a resource for the history and future of their own cities, counties, towns and neighborhoods.

The book includes information on the history, development, economic development and politics of the American South, West and Midwest.

It also includes information about the most interesting and controversial topics in American history, from Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The most interesting topics covered include slavery, Jim Crow laws, the War in Vietnam and the American Revolution.DPWW Commissioner Dan Kasper said: “We hope that this book will provide an invaluable resource for historians, and for anyone who wants to understand the important topics that have shaped our nation’s history.”
